FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions:
How do you do this all for only $289?
We have been helping entrepreneurs get their business on-line since 1994. This is not brain surgery, and does not need to be as confusing as others make it. We know how to build web sites and do so efficiently.
Why do you use a “blog” format rather than building a site the old way with HTML code? Aren’t blogs for posting ideas and things?
There are a couple reasons for this, the main one is Google. Google loves blogs and we can get your site listed in Google a lot quicker using a blog.
Doesn’t the main page of a blog change every time you post a new article?
Most do, but we create a “static” page for the main page of the site, so no matter how may articles or new pages you post the main page always stays the same.
Can I change the “look and feel” of my website?
Sure. Blogs use “themes” and you have complete access to several different themes and you can pick any of them. We will set your site up with a standard theme, but you can try others.
I don’t know anything about posting to a blog, do you have instructions?
You bet. We’ve setup an instructional blog where you can learn how to post new pages on your blog, add pictures, even add affiliate links to pages. Blogs were designed for the every day person, not the techie. Most people do fine.
Why would I want to add more pages after you complete my site?
Great question and has to do with Google again. Every time you post a new article on your site there is a “ping” that is sent out notifying Google and other sites there is new information on your site. This process is unique to blogs and helps keep your site current in the search engines. Doing this is an option though, but it is very beneficial.
I don’t understand what you mean by a “page”?
We’ll take up to 5 “pages” of information and create a web site. A “page” is an 8½ X 11″ sheet of paper filled with text and pictures. We may take these 5 pages and create a 7 page web site. We will look at it and lay it out in the most logical manner.
If this does not work out, am I stuck with it for 6 months or a year?
No. There are no long term contracts. This is a monthly arrangement. You can cancel anytime, we just need 10 days notice before the end of a calendar month.
Why don’t you have samples of sites you made?
We did at one time, but it turned out to be a problem. Our company (JennTech, Inc.) has a strict privacy policy. We won’t disclose any of our customer’s information without written permission from you. When we linked to sites that we had developed, several people contacted them directly.
Why do we need you? I could setup a blog on a cheap hosting site myself?
Then what do you do? We’re combining our sales skill online since 1994 along with our knowledge of how to get your site listed in Google, along with getting you setup with an online payment system (if you need it) all for one small fee. You could probably learn most of this in the next 3 or 4 months, or you could pay us to get you going on the right track.
